Banksy is infamous for his stencil artworks, tongue-in-cheek statues and daring art stunts. In 2010, he turned his attention to filmmaking.

This Oscar-nominated mockumentary starred Thierry Guetta aka Mr. Brainwash, who starts out in the film making a documentary about Banksy. However, very quickly, the tables turn and Mr. Brainwash becomes the subject of the film.

“This film is the story of what happened when this guy tried to make a documentary about me, but he was actually a lot more interesting than I am… It’s not Gone with the Wind, but there’s probably a moral in there somewhere.”

This UK cinema 27” x 41” quad film poster, features Banksy in his latex monkey mask, holding a video camera. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2010, before opening in London at the Leake Street Tunnel – a famous spot for graffiti artists to practice their craft.
